Dare we call it the Joy of Socks?
Or perhaps the ultimate "feet" of generosity?

Some time ago, Katie Krueger, our Bismarck-based care coordinator in the statewide Free Through Recovery program, contacted the Bombas Sock Co., to request a donation of socks for a "basic needs" drive, a collaborative effort with the United Way shelter in Bismarck.
The business model of Bombas is already built on philanthropy. For every pair of socks or item of clothing sold, they also donate socks or a specially designed clothing item to someone in need. (So far, they've donated well over 21 million items!)
But Bombas was pretty busy making and donating socks, so it took a couple of months for the company to process Katie's request. That meant their socks didn't make it into drive.
Better late than never – especially when it comes to free, high-quality socks. Recently, the

company sent Katie 2,500 PAIRS OF SOCKS! That's a LOT of happy toes!
Katie says she plans to donate about half of the socks to the United Way shelter and several hundred to Ministry on the Margins in Bismarck, while keeping several hundred at LSS for the Refugee Resettlement, Healthy Families, Free Through Recovery, and other programs. 😊
Thank you, Bombas, for putting your best foot forward. You'll help a lot of people benefit from something too many of us take for granted - warm, dry feet.
As the kids say, you're the Bomb(as)!
(And you too, Katie!:)
