GRAND FORKS, N.D. | Thursday, Jan. 6, 2020 – Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota in Grand Forks was the recipient of a $10,000 Community Investment Grant from local energy-transportation company Enbridge.
Funds donated to LSSND will specifically support efforts of its Healthy Families program, helping children thrive in safe and healthy homes by receiving home visiting services; and its DIVERT program, for youth and their families showing risk of juvenile justice system involvement.
"Support from community partners like @Enbridge is critical to providing these free and voluntary services to families,” said Janell Regimbal, vice president of Children’s Services at LSSND. "Without support from funders like Enbridge, we would not be able to provide these impactful approaches that recognize that everyone needs a little help sometimes."
“By collaborating with community leaders we’re proud to support local priorities and know organizations such as Lutheran Social Services help to build a strong community,” said Wendy Pank, Enbridge community engagement adviser. “We invest in programs and projects that make positive and lasting impacts in our communities and commend LSSND’s efforts to help families and young people in our communities.”
