'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
Inspired by the message of Matthew 25, Matthew Investments was born out of an idea to make it possible for our donors to bring healing, help and hope “unto the least of these” while also receiving dividends for themselves.
The invested dollars will be used to help LSSND provide much-needed services to our neighbors throughout the state of North Dakota. From helping seniors continue to live independently in their homes to guiding new moms through the transition to parenthood, the money invested with Matthew Investments will help us provide services to North Dakotans of all ages and zip codes.
By purchasing a Note, you are helping us provide healing therapies, senior companionship, senior independent living, juvenile and adult restorative justice, adoption and foster care available to all North Dakota communities. While we are a 501(c)(3) organization, your investment will not be tax deductible. However, you may be eligible for a tax deduction if you elect to forgive some or all of the principal amount of your Note. Please consult your personal tax advisor for details.
Investments must be a minimum of $5,000 and be held for a minimum of three years. The investor will also have the opportunity to donate or reinvest at the end of term.
Being a socially-minded investor allows you to find the place where your values meet money, strengthen the community, and grow your portfolio. Investments range from $5,000 to $5,000,000 in unsecured promissory notes.
Annual Interest Rate
The Notes bear interest from the date of issuance until the date of maturity. Interest is paid semi‑annually or less frequently if elected by the investor. Interest accrues on a calendar year basis and is paid in arrears each January 1 and July 1. Interest rates vary from 0.0% to 2.0%, at the option of the investor.
The maturity of the Notes will be three years or more, as specified by the investor. Investors may designate their desired term in full‑year multiples.
