Lutheran Social Services Housing

Agency recognized for affordable housing leadership

Jan 8, 2013

In his annual State of the State Address on Jan. 8, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple recognized Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota for its leadership in providing affordable housing.

Agency CEO Bob Sanderson and Lutheran Social Services Housing Director Jessica Thomasson attended the address during a joint session of the 63rd Legislative Assembly in Bismarck.

“There is one organization that has been the clear leader in organizing low-income housing projects,” Governor Dalrymple said in his address. “Lutheran Social Services deserves our full gratitude for putting together projects across the state. Talk about making a real difference in North Dakota. With us today are Robert Sanderson, CEO of Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, and Jessica Thomasson, Director of LSS Housing services. Bob and Jessica, please stand. Thank you and everyone at Lutheran Social Services for your commitment to North Dakota. As you have said, housing is much more than just walls and ceilings. It’s key to community stability and our quality of life.”
