Job Description:
Volunteers are needed to help refugees adjust to life in the United States. Resettlement assistants help refugee families by preparing for their arrival and/or assiting the refugees' case manager during the first few months of resettlement. Tasks may include providing transportation to appointments and helpting refugees familiarize themselves with the community and the services available to them. Refugee mentors help introduce refugees to American culture. These volunteers typically begin their work with families a few months after the refugees have arrived in the United States.
