Job Description:
The Restorative Justice Program accepts interns for spring, summer and fall semesters. These positions are open to under-graduates in Criminal Justice, Social Work or related fields. All candidates must be able to pass required background checks and commit to a fixed number of hours, preferably 10-32 hours per week. As a non-profit agency, all Restorative Justice internships are unpaid.

Job Responsibilities
Interview juvenile offenders to determine their eligibility to enter Youth Court. Complete exit-interviews with juveniles at the completion of Youth Court services. Communicate with referring agencies regarding clients and services. Maintain statistics on utilization and outcome measures. Maintain records and perform general clerical duties such as database entry, filing, making copies, preparing correspondence to clients and staff by mail, email and telephone. Set up, close and update client files as required. Perform public relations activities by presenting program information to a variety of groups and organizations. Coordinate Victim Empathy Seminars by notifying clients, referral sources and facilitators. Prepare and run reports as scheduled or requested. Observe Community Councils and serve as a co-facilitator.
