Day Report
Day Report is an after school program that provides supervision, structure and skill development to teens ages 14 to 17 who have a history of delinquent offenses and are currently involved with Juvenile Court or the Division of Juvenile Services.

This program also offers a component called Beyond Out of School Suspension (BOSS) for Middle and High school students who are suspended/expelled from school or awaiting school placement.  Youth involved in BOSS receive educational assistance, skill building and participate in community service projects.

The goals and benefits of Day Report
The program works to help youth develop a positive relationship with the community.  Goals of Day Report include:

  • Increase community safety by providing additional supervision to high-risk youth
  • Hold youth accountable through intense supervision and goal setting
  • Help youth develop skills and increase competence
  • Provide support and assistance to help youth transition to a lower level of supervision

Programming
Day Report hours are Monday thru Friday 3:30 to 7:30 pm.   The 16-week program includes four levels of participation.

Level 1-7 Weeks
Youth attend Day Report Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. for seven weeks.
Level 2-3 Weeks
The next three weeks youth attend Day Report for two hours per day or 2 1/2 days per week.
Level 3-6 Weeks
Youth participate in a follow-up group once a week for six weeks.
Level 4-On going follow up
Those who have successfully completed the previous three levels can continue to participate in the program twice a week for two hours per day.  Youth can voluntarily continue or can be referred by case managers/ probation officers.  This level is more youth-directed as they assist in planning the weekly activities.
