Background

• Lutheran Social Services Violence Free

  is a program of Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota that has been providing domestic violence treatment for men who batter and anger management treatment for people who have problems handling their anger appropriately since 2001 in the Bismarck–Mandan area and since 2012 in the Williston area.

• Lutheran Social Services Violence Free

  is the only Men Who Batter program in the areas served that meets the North Dakota Adult Batterer’s Treatment Standards set by the North Dakota Council on Abused Women’s Services jointly with the North Dakota Adult Batters’ Treatment Forum.

• Lutheran Social Services Violence Free

  is the only Men Who Batter program in the Bismarck-Mandan area that is a member of the People United for Living in a Safe Environment (P.U.L.S.E.) the local Coordinate Community Response to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault., as recommended by the Duluth Model.
