Volunteers needed in Minot
About 88 homes that need rebuilding in Minot are ready for volunteer workers as of September 15. There is a need for additional volunteers as:
- Volunteers for rebuild Volunteer teams for rebuild. Teams of 5-6 with 2-3 skilled people are ideal. Skills needed are rough carpenters, finish carpenters, electricians, plumbers, framers, windows/doors installation, flooring – laminate – tile - carpet, drywall hangers-finishers
Timeframe: all year round, but especially this winter

- Skilled Volunteers in construction and estimators to assist in the preparation of scopes of work and estimates of the cost to rebuild

Since the flooding in 2011, 237 groups consisting of more than 3,800 volunteers donated approximately 77,850 hours to cleanup and rebuilding Minot. A volunteer hour in North Dakota is valued at $17.49, which equates to more than $1.3 million in donated service given by volunteers. Thank you, volunteers!
