Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota names new leader

FARGO, N.D. – Jessica Thomasson, vice president for Social Enterprise and director of Lutheran Social Services Housing, has been chosen by the LSSND board of directors to lead the 95-year-old agency.

“After months of work and mindful consideration of the final candidates, board members unanimously agreed Jessica Thomasson has the passion and competencies to lead our organization in building on the legacy of our retiring CEO Bob Sanderson,” said Mark Strand, board president.

“I am truly looking forward to the opportunity to continue working with the agency staff and partners as we determine what our next century of service in this state is going to look like,” Thomasson said. “There really are exciting opportunities ahead.”

Thomasson will assume the CEO position December 1, with Sanderson remaining on board through the month to assist with the transition.

“Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota is an organization that is all about making a difference – that’s something I’m eager to be part of,” Thomasson added.
