Olivet Lutheran Church held a Sending Service for Lutheran Social Services staff on May 31 as the agency prepared to move to temporary new offices in Fargo.
Bishop Bill Rindy spoke along with Pastor Jeff Sandgren from Olivet Lutheran and Lutheran Social Services of ND CEO Bob Sanderson.
Lutheran Social Services had been located at 1325 11th St. S., Fargo, next to Olivet Lutheran Church, since 1952. This move allows Olivet Lutheran to begin a construction project on the former Lutheran Social Services site which the church has purchased. Lutheran Social Services plans to move to a permanent new Fargo facility on land it owns at the northwest corner of the intersection of I-94 and I-29 upon completion of its current Abound in Hope capital campaign.
